Blue H & M Dress, dress of the day 393

But I had a white blouse, so I wore this. On the internet and on Facebook you can see lots of videos of how to tie a scarf, but mine is simply hanging, which partly obscures the cleavage.  Cleavage cover I had a choice. To insert a dickey or false front, also called a removable or detachable collar. I have one or two which are plain white.  The alternative which saves hunting for a matching dickey without distracting collar colours and embrodiery, is simply to add a fastening. I decided that a snap or press stud fastener in small size is qhich to fasten and unlikely to pull apart (as opposed to hook and eye. I like velcro but it can scratch your skin, so the press stud was the right andwer. You have to get the two sides exactly measured up from the point of the V neck otherwide you end up with a d shape hol

The eyes have it - Old and New spectacles Dress of the day 392

My previous Spectacles. Angela Close up of the New Spectacles. Photo by Trevor Sharot. The new goggles Goggles were available in black or orange. I chose orange. I have an orange and black swimsuit. The goggles are sighted for long distance only. You are presumed not to be reading nor isnpecting fish close-up, but checking distance, to avoid other swimmers and see your destination. My eyes are slightly differnt and the two lenses are matching my eye strength, so hey are marked left and right. Therefore you have to check you are not wearing them upside down on the wrong eyes. However they are not matched in great detail like proper varifocal glasses which also correct any astigmatism (difference from left to right in the same eyeball) . They are like off the pag glasses which just adapt to the basic one, two three  difference in reading glasses. However when you have two different eyes so one would be at the smaller distance and the other lens would be the next size up to match your ey

Shein Long blue and white dress. Outfit 391.

Blue colour suts me. It maches my eyes. It flatters my complexion.  I bought this dress from St Luke's charity shop in London, England. The style is caftan. Just pull it over your head to et dressed in a hurry. The dress is too long. If I take off the belt, I keep tripping over the hem. Should I turn it up, or cut off the hem and use the leftover piece for a matching belt, hairband, or scarf? Sandals The brand name is Toms. Accessories I chose the co-ordinateng sadals with a shade of blue and contrasting warm pink. Umbrella The umbrella is also blue and pink. It is a child size umbrella. I bought one of thse online by mistake. Then I found it really handy. Small enough to stuff in a large tote bag. Just big enough to protect yourself on a druzzly day. Children's umbrellas are often in bright

Bright Orange Outfit with Heart Labels. Dress of the Day. Matching a skirt from Marks with a blouse from Primark. Outfit 390.

The Orange blouse Brand Primark Cares. Symbol one heart. Made in Vietnam. Italy 40 Size M (for medium). Worn underneath. Provides a silky feel next to the skin. Easy and light to wash out overnight and likely to dry quicker. Cuffs A ribbon tightens the gthered cuff, so it won't drag in the water when I am washing up dishes. Nor when filling a glass of water at the kitchen tap, or washing my hands before and after going to the toilet. It is loose. But how do you put it on over your neck? No buttons. V neck  NO FASTENING AT NECK The V neck does not fasten and might slip sideways. I don't always stand straight horizontally because I broke my right collar bone years ago in a car accident.  I've noticed a lot of people seem to stand slightly up one side and down the other. It might be because of an old injurty on that side, or just sluping, poor posture.   Anyway, the result is that I need to keep collars fastened. I would like to attach a detachable or pull-apart fastening. May

Red dress with white hibiscus flower pattern - and several surprises! Dress of the Day 387.

Image
Red dress with pattern of white hibiscus flowers. Photo by Angela Lansbury. Copyright. This dress was full of surprises. It has been an education in plants, fabrics and how to add belts to caftans and other clothes.  I saw the dress in the one pound container in St Luke's charity shop which raises money for hospices in London, England. One pound is the equivalent of one dollar 30 cents, in September 2024. The bargain box, contains things which have not sold as fast as other items.  I saw this dress. Did I need it? No. But I like red and it was long. It was a bargain. I bought it. When I got home, I tried it on. It was long.   Flower Pattern - hibiscus  I love this pattern. I think of it as Hawaian or tropical flowers. Looking carefully, I see that the flowers have five petals. A long stamen. What is the flower? After an online search, I found it in real life as a plant for sale in gardening suppliers. The flower is hibiscus. Angela Lansbury in red dress with white hibiscus pattern.

Red Dress of the day 386 with Angela - and amaizng double buttons blouse

Angela Lansbury the author wearing a red reversible dress 386. Photo by Trevor Sharot. The Red Dress The red dress is reversible. When I first had it, in summer, I wore it sleeveless. I wore only the patterned side because the plain side was boring and showed creases. Now that it is autumn I am wearing a co-ordinating blouse with a pattern, so I am wearing the plain red so as not to have two crowded and clashing patterns.  I cannot find any label inside the dress. I have several of these reversible dresses. They are useful for light and tight packing and travelling for a trip of only one week or fewer days.  I once wore three reversible dressed on a train journey from London to Wales for the long weekend. I had just one wheel-along bag containing my heavy books and a spare pair of shoes for day and evening. This reversible dress has one unusual feature. The side seams are split up to knee height for easy walking. That also looks sexy and seductive.  Under Slip To fill in the side sli
