I found that out at the dazzling Jewellery & Gem World Singapore (a trade show on at Expo, Singapore) from Tuesday 27th September to Friday September 30th, 2022. Wholesalers of jewellery and gemstones gathered to display their wares to importers and shops in Singapore and the world. In just one day I learned a lot about the delightful cut of diamonds, their kaleidoscope of colours.  I discovered what costs more than gold, as well secrets of distinguishing real amber and opals from the fakes.  Here's a roundup of my discoveries: 1 The jewellery school JDMIS, Jewellery Design & Management International School. I bought the shoes at a reduced price in Mustafa's. I was looking for touch and close and these are firm across the toes. However, the ankle strap is adjustable and I find them comfortable. When I went back, I could not see anything like them again. The moral is, if something is cheap, buy the bargain in both colours. You have little to lose and lots to gain. Samsonite Suitcase Samsonite suitcases are named after the strength of Samson in the bible. Supposedly strong and sturdy suitcases and good quality. This one is Samsonite Lite. Somebody left it in the bin area. The inside was okay, the outside a little bedraggled with some stickers.  However, there's often a reason why something is discarded. I soon found out why.  The name duffel bag comes from a Belgian town which produced cloth.   Strictly speaking a duffel bag is open at the top with a drawstring.  A sausage shape bag with a zip is a gym bag or kit bag.   This one said Win. A red dress with a pattern of little books in black. I bought it second hand on ebay. Harkel size 20 dress. Similar to Popsy and Collectif. The UK postage was 4.45 pounds. I knew it would be hard to match up the coral pink so I opted for accessories and co-ordinating clothes in white. White Skirt  The white skirt is a lace hemmed Laura Ashley slip. The fabric is cool and the loose style is comfortable. Easy to walk in.  White Jacket The white cape blazer is by Missguided. The open-front jacket sleeves show the sleeves of the coral top. The vertical lines help me look taller. White Necklace And Ear-rings I keep this matching set together. I have a two compartment jewellery case for costume jewellery, with one section for white items. No longer do I hunt around trying to match up a necklace and ear-rings. I find it better to have one set ready when rushing out, rather than hunting for a new combination....

In the good old days we used to buy bra strap fasteners. They consisted of a double ribbon fastened with a snap fastener over the bra strap, and a safety pin to pin the item to the underside of the blouse's or top's shoulders. You bought one or a set or two or three, and moved them from garment to garment by unpinning the safety pins. I would often leave them inside the garment, lose the garment or the pins, buy a new set, and find the old ones years later. Sometimes they stayed crisp. Sometimes the ribbon would fray. Now I have lots more methods for concealing or revealing bra straps. The biggest problem is bras with spaghetti straps. They are small, they slip. They are obviously part of an undergarment. Make sure you have a bra which matches your favourite travel outfit. When buying a top or dress, buy a matching bra. (Even a wrong size bra.   DIY Matching mask To make a matching mask, DIY, cut a tiny strip or strips from an inside seam or hem of your jacket or blouse or shirt or dress. Alternatively, find or buy a matching ribbon.  Decorate A Mask With Matching Material Cut into a circle or square or diamond shape, or coil into a rose. Sew into the corner of a mask, or stick it onto the top left corner of the mask for it to appear on the right to onlookers and in the mirror and photos. A flat sewn on patch is easiest to wash. If you are obliged to wear a black or blue or company colour mask at work, but do not have a work uniform, select a tee-shirt, top, jacket or outfit in a colour to co-ordinate with the mask. A plain black mask could be worn with a plain black top. Alternatively, a dramatic black and white top, with a geometric pattern, yin-yang, or a cat on a contrasting background. Watch. Photo by Angela Lansbury.  I spent  about an hour and forty five minutes to get the first draft loaded up on blogger.  Add another fifteen minutes if you count adding photos. PHOTO PLANNING AND TAKING 1 Taking a full length photo, setting up the camera firmly on a tripod or desktop, or summoning somebody else as photographer.  Change shoes. Colour co-ordinate. Suitable for the theme, casual or classy. Find a colour-co-ordinated prop, ideally one which is relevant to the theme or background.  Select background, Remove home clutter or public litter from the background. Adjust the lighting, flash if necessary, or turn it off.  Focus on the foreground person, not the background, nor the gap between two people or objects.  TEXT WRITING, RESEARCHING & CHECKING What takes so much time? 1 Correcting the spelling. 2 Adding labels 3 Reading the published version on blogspot - which shows you if the picture is too big and bleeds over the columns alongs...

I washed it before wearing it, in fact before handling it. The cut is unusual.  The outside has two overlapping semicircles. You don't tie it on like most overlapping wraps. (Which run the risk of coming undone or gapping at the cleavage showing underwear or worse. This garment has a high neck. The wrap effect cannot come undone. It looks flexible and is. But the secret to getting it on and off is the zip at the centre back. The Cut Underneath the front panel is in three vertical sections. But seamed from the lower hem to the waist, then a gap between the two outer piece to the shoulders. However, underneath is a lining in black, with a small vertical bust dart.
