I am wearing
1 A set of white hat and scarf which I have sewn together to keep both hat and scarf in place and keep the back and front of my neck warm.

2 A warm, padded red glove with snow white edge.

3 A red fingerless glove so that I can use my phone, and write notes about the wine on the tasting sheet.
Nobody noticed or commented on the odd gloves.

4 Cardigan coat. Black and warm.

5 Underneath the coat is the thick warm, white sweater seen in a previous post.

2 Look for the words beanie hat, or cloche hat. 

3 Or hat, scarf and gloves

4 Sew together a scarf and hat to protect yourself from sun in the summer and from cold in the winter.

5 The usual way to stop children losing a glove is to run a long piece of elastic from one glove to another through the sleeves. If you have a hanging loop at the neck you can sew or tie the middle of the elastic to the loop.This can also be done for an adult's gloves.

6 If you lose a glove, keep the other one as a duster.

7 If it is a light glove, use the remaining glove as a liner inside a warmer winter glove. If you have both, us them both inside a larger glove.

8 If you get holes in the seam at the end of the fingers of the gloves, cut off the tips to make fingerless gloves so that you can swipe a mobile phone.

9 You can buy gloves with suitable fingers which can be used with sliding screen mobile phones.

10 Red, orange and pink or brown gloves can be co-ordinated with lipstick.

11 Store gloves one inside the other in a labelled glove box. or keep the matching gloves with the coat or jacket you wear most often. Alternatively, keep your gloves in your handbag so you never go out without them.

Stripey Red & White Socks, thigh high, and tights - outfit 679 by Angela Lansbury

  I bought a pair of knee high red and white stripe socks in St Luke's charity shop. At one pound or under, you can't lose much. (Their charity fundraising shops are in NW London in Hatch End, Harrow Weald and elsewhere.) Why did I buy the long socks, in hard to match, garish, childish, stripes - after hesitation and consideration? The Advantages Of Long Socks The  length was attractive, at this time of year. I often need long socks under a midi skirt. For warmth in winter. And not to show bit of bare legs above socks. To co-ordinate colours. Advantages and Disadvantages of Red and White Stripes I like red. It's fun. White can show dirt quickly.  Red and white is a bit restrictive. It will clash with patterns, only go with plain reds and whites. But under a table at dinner or on Zoom nobody else will notice. Nor will I. I will only feel them.
