Blue polyester top from GG>5. Oops. I typed it the wrong way round! It's a good thing I photographed the label. Their Letters GG in their name stand for Generation Gap.  (A bit like Next, which was to bridge the gap between clothes for the young and clothes for the older buyers and wearers.)

The Letters GG are followed by a sign like an arrow head pointing forward pointing. I wondered, how am I going to type that? For you, my reader. The clothes company websites explained that the forward arrowhead is a mathematical symbol.

I copied the sign and googled and a website said it is the sign for narrowing in mathematics, and a keyboard symbol. I looked at my keyboard and found the sign  above the full stop (Americans say period).

My husband drew the sign with the v on its side. The fat end is the bigger one. With the arrowhead pointing towards the five, what preceded was larger. It means greater than 5. You can write it in mathematatics in both directoions, meaning 6 is greater than five, depending which way round yuou put the 5 and the 6. You can strike it through to mean 5 is not greater than 6. You can also add a line to mean equal to or greater than.Well, I never.

So, the name means narrowing the generation gap. I have to thank that blouse, that label, that company, that website, that day, for teaching me and you a sign on the keyboard.

That's the name. What about the clothes? To me they looked very conventional, designed for the slim, small-chested Singaporean teenager (and other ages who might be mistaken for teenagers).

When I looked at the clothing company's website in January 2021 I thought their models seemed expressionless bordering on glum, which is the fashion nowadays. I suppose that by wearing neutral expressions they don't distract from the clothes.

Meanwhile, I am smiling enthusiastically. Clothes and colours make me feel happy.

What is this? My repair.  I have a lovely shiny, smart black slip, from Marks & Spencers. It has a slit with pretty lace edging.  But it is slightly tight. Blue H & M Dress, dress of the day 393

But I had a white blouse, so I wore this. On the internet and on Facebook you can see lots of videos of how to tie a scarf, but mine is simply hanging, which partly obscures the cleavage.  Cleavage cover I had a choice. To insert a dickey or false front, also called a removable or detachable collar. I have one or two which are plain white.  The alternative which saves hunting for a matching dickey without distracting collar colours and embrodiery, is simply to add a fastening. I decided that a snap or press stud fastener in small size is qhich to fasten and unlikely to pull apart (as opposed to hook and eye. Period pants from Savida. Pants, UK. In the USA they would be called underpants. They come in two colours, black or dark blue with a mottled effect. They are triple layer. Could be useful for hiking and travelling. Or when you have a cough.  A pack of three full briefs for fifteen pounds. I then googled period pants and found lots of results.  Marks Marks & Spencer do a pack of three containing three different colours, black, white and pink, for sixteen pounds.  They also do different absorbencies. The options range though light, heavy, and extra heavy. And more styles, such as pantaloon style, like short tight shorts coming half way down your thighs.
