Dress of the day 250, new vintage 4 piece Anthony Sicari summer skirt suit in white with turquoise and pastels


 Anthony Sicari outfits come with a matching scarf. Usually skirt, top and scarf, or skirt, top and jacket and scarf. You often find a top offered on its own. I suspect they have become detached from the full outfit.

I like Anthony Sicari outfits because they are loose and baggy. This was important when buying on the internet to be sure the items would fit.

The colours of this outfit are more suited to spring or summer. Mostly white.

Colours
Most of the outfits I see are for autumn or winter with a heavy knit bodice to the top,. Often the colour of the knitted part in a dark blue or red or black with vibrant contrasting satiny inset or appliqe.

I keep a constant watch on ebay. If you live in the USA or UK, you are in luck. You save on the postage. 

Angela's Accessories 
White fabric hat brim with velcro at the back. From Walker's Hat Shop, Descanso, California. USA The hat brim is washable. The lace
makes it more dressy.

The white shoes are Les Jumelles (french for twins),  from 74 Baker Street, London, W1, England. Made in Italy. They have dried out from years in the cupboard in Singapore. I ought to treat them to a massage with a moisturizer.

    Sweater embroidered with mock pearls matches my hat pinned with mock pearl brooches.  I had never worn this pale grey sweater  I thought pale grey was a boring colour and always opted for something brighter such as royal blue or bight red. Stripey Red & White Socks, thigh high, and tights - outfit 679 by Angela Lansbury

  I bought a pair of knee high red and white stripe socks in St Luke's charity shop. At one pound or under, you can't lose much. (Their charity fundraising shops are in NW London in Hatch End, Harrow Weald and elsewhere.) Why did I buy the long socks, in hard to match, garish, childish, stripes - after hesitation and consideration? The Advantages Of Long Socks The  length was attractive, at this time of year. I often need long socks under a midi skirt. For warmth in winter. And not to show bit of bare legs above socks. To co-ordinate colours. Advantages and Disadvantages of Red and White Stripes I like red. It's fun. White can show dirt quickly.  Red and white is a bit restrictive. It will clash with patterns, only go with plain reds and whites. But under a table at dinner or on Zoom nobody else will notice. Nor will I. I will only feel them.
