 Another Sicari outfit in blue and turquoise with beautiful bat wing sleeves. I have a top and matching scarf. Wide sleeves. Knitted cuffs. Shoulder pads. The label says Size 18. Made in the USA. Acrylic and nylon. Hand wash.

I knotted the scarf twice to be sure it would not fall off and get lost.

Background Painting

The background is a picture of Queen Elizabeth I, looking very elegant.  She has red hair, a huge ruff, and white all over her face. I thought it was to cover pock marks, as one observer remarked. Another person said that it was to contrast the courtiers with the tanned skin of peasants who work outdoors, in the fields.

I was attending a wine and dine event. My husband had organized the wines and written notes on them. I took a photo of another guest beside the Queen Elizabeth painting. The guest had red hair, so the painting made a good background for her.

Angela Lansbury was born and bred in Britain, and has lived in the USA and Singapore. Her family has worked in or lived in Spain and Switzerland. 

She is the author of several book on public speaking and quotations.

She is a member of Toastmasters Clubs meeting on Zoom with visitors from the UK and USA, India, Sri Lanka, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.
