The Green Caftan
The Green caftan is drawn in at the waist with a purple ribbon. Ribbon bought from Daiso.

The green caftan was second hand. Donated to me by a friend. She bought half a dozen as gifts to her daughter's bridesmaids. She loaned this one when I visited her and bought her dinner and she persuaded me to stay overnight but I had no night dress. I took a fancy to this because of the colour. It was a bit frayed around the neck with a missing button. She offered me a new one still in its plastic bag in a murky blue colour. 
'No, I want the green one,' I said.
I added a co-ordinating button. I oversewed the fraying part. 

I have worn it many times, The colour makes me happy.

 I had never noticed the purple design. Until one day I wore it with the purple jacket. The two co-ordinated perfectly.

The three bars on the hat are the symbol of Adidas.
Adidas. OSFW. Climalite. Made in China. I like the stretchy, soft headband.
OSFW stand for One Size for woman.
Adidas slogan, Impossible is nothing.. (Pun on nothing is impossible.)

    Sweater embroidered with mock pearls matches my hat pinned with mock pearl brooches.  I had never worn this pale grey sweater  I thought pale grey was a boring colour and always opted for something brighter such as royal blue or bight red. Stripey Red & White Socks, thigh high, and tights - outfit 679 by Angela Lansbury

  I bought a pair of knee high red and white stripe socks in St Luke's charity shop. At one pound or under, you can't lose much. (Their charity fundraising shops are in NW London in Hatch End, Harrow Weald and elsewhere.) Why did I buy the long socks, in hard to match, garish, childish, stripes - after hesitation and consideration? The Advantages Of Long Socks The  length was attractive, at this time of year. I often need long socks under a midi skirt. For warmth in winter. And not to show bit of bare legs above socks. To co-ordinate colours. Advantages and Disadvantages of Red and White Stripes I like red. It's fun. White can show dirt quickly.  Red and white is a bit restrictive. It will clash with patterns, only go with plain reds and whites. But under a table at dinner or on Zoom nobody else will notice. Nor will I. I will only feel them.
