Ladies sandals from Little India and Mustafa's accessory of the day 290

My cheapest sandals from Mustafa's. Sandals in silver gray, reduced price in Mustafa's 24 hour department store in Singapore. Brand Perleei. Photo by Angela Lansbury.

I bought two pairs of sandals in Mustaphas's. Both silvery gray.

One had closure to tighten at the back strap, although not across the toes. The brand is Perleei La Sandal. The size 37. Price reduced. From over ten dollars to 5.90 dollars. An incredibly low price.

I was looking for sandals which are adjustable across the toes as well as around  the ankle. Why? To take on and off quickly at security checks at airports.

As I tried them on, I was thinking: But at this price, I could afford to use them as a pair and just wear them at home. Or to take a chance. Wear them until I found something better. Meanwhile, how did they feel?

Solid underfoot. Not flexible. Looked good.

The sandals had to be worth it, just to walk around the house, or wear once.

They look better off than on. They have a delightful pattern on the inner sole. Once on the foot, you cannot see the pattern.

However, I love looking at them when they are on the floor in the bedroom. They are a delight to look at. Instead of shopper's remorse, I have shopper's satisfaction. Collectors kudos. The two heroines of the ladies shoe world are Cinderella, with her one pair of shoes, which attracted the prince of her dreams, and Imelda Marcus of the Philippines, whose huge collection of shoes was infamous etravagence, in terms of the number of shoes - although I am sure she did not pay for all of them, but she boosted the Philippines shoe industry.

We saved on taxis and walked to the MRT station. More walking around Little India station. After we sat on the MRT - near others, we walked home uphill. By the time I got home, my UK Freestep sandals had come apart. The inner sole detached from the base, including the base of the inner sole.

The other had elastic.

I checked online and could not find parleei. The trouble with writing the company name in lower case, joined up, Italics, is that it is hard to read. Not parleei, perleei, as I discovered from the price sticker.

But the other sandal is Sonerita La Sandal. So I conclude that the shoe styles are Perleei and Sonerita. The brand name is La Sandal. Or LA for Los Angeles Sandal. However, when I serach online, none of these names produces any results.

I tried Google translate and found perle is Romanian for pearls. The singular perla means pearl.

I then searched for adjustable sandals. I found a search for adjustable sandals for the elderly.

The best value were these from Biskorry on ebay.
