Label Papaya Woman. Size 12. It has 6 small thick brown wood effect buttons down the front.

The label says Made in India. Matalan Retail.

It has a handy spare button.

100 per cent cotton, although it has a slight sideways stretch.

When I was a teenager in the England in the UK in nineteen sixties in summer we wore or bought broderie Anglaise (now known as eyelet), which was always in fresh white. 

Now in the 2020s (writing in June 2022) the colourful Asian countries have impressed us with the fashion of eyelet garments in all colours.  Red, orange, yellow, dark green, black.

White eyelet outfits can be enhanced by white nail varnish and white toe nail varnish with white sandals or open toe shoes.

Orange Accessories

To go with an orange eyelet dress, the ideal co-ordinated accessories would be orange shoes, an orange belt, an orange necklace, an orange hair band, an orange scarf. For cosmetics, orange lipstick and rouge (which can be made from the lipstick). For your nails, add orange nail varnish and orange toe nail varnish.

Orange Photo Backdrops

For a photo, stand beside an orange tree. Hold an orange. Find an orange rose or flower in a park or garden centre. Or create a backdrop to edit in. 

Alternatively, contrast the orange clothes with a green or white background.

Stripey Red & White Socks, thigh high, and tights - outfit 679 by Angela Lansbury

  I bought a pair of knee high red and white stripe socks in St Luke's charity shop. At one pound or under, you can't lose much. (Their charity fundraising shops are in NW London in Hatch End, Harrow Weald and elsewhere.) Why did I buy the long socks, in hard to match, garish, childish, stripes - after hesitation and consideration? The Advantages Of Long Socks The  length was attractive, at this time of year. I often need long socks under a midi skirt. For warmth in winter. And not to show bit of bare legs above socks. To co-ordinate colours. Advantages and Disadvantages of Red and White Stripes I like red. It's fun. White can show dirt quickly.  Red and white is a bit restrictive. It will clash with patterns, only go with plain reds and whites. But under a table at dinner or on Zoom nobody else will notice. Nor will I. I will only feel them.
