I discovered this by chance. Wearing a dark long sleeved tee shirt or clinging vest over a short sleeved eyelet garment has three good results.  The original purpose was to keep warm on a day when I felt cold, possibly due to not enough sleep. 

The surprise benefits were that the sleeves form a contrast with the main body colour of the top. Then the lower neck is infilled which covers cleavage. You might want to show cleavage.

Your Internet Appearance
For zoom, for internet group meetings when you are spending a long time listening rather than talking, or typing into a chat box, you will want to be sitting down, with your camera on for group photos and to provide an audience response of smiles and nods as well as friendly support for the speaker showing that you are there and listening not doing other work, talking to a second meeting on another screen or wandering off.

Some meeting photographers like candid shots rather than posed shots. This means you need your camera on, and a pretty effect, and to be noticeable, all through the meeting.

The Yellow Eyelet Top Fast Facts
Size 16
Instead of a scratchy and removable label, it has printing on the inside neck area. Good for the consumer. A heart contains the number 16,  for size 16. Heart. Cute. Makes me smile.

Next to the heart is the word in large LOVE. Slightly smaller bellow is the word Cotton. Love cotton.

The pale brown print is tastefully inconspicuous. A pale colour is probably less likely to show through and colour run. However, it may fade and is already hard to read.

Below that is really tiny print so I had to get a magnifying glass. Still to small to read. Stand by a window. Still struggling.  Call on somebody else, who still struggled to read it, The words looked like hand wash machine washable cotton.

Fabric Facts
The fabric has five set of eyelets, with tight, non-fraying edges which makes it machine washable. the embroidered part around the neck is on very fine cotton, opaque, very closely woven, thinner than the main fabric which is softer and stretches in both directions.

Creased Cotton
Being cotton, it creases easily. I don't iron. I hang dry clothes and pull them into shape. 

I am buying new clothes for my next holiday, a Writers' Summer School at Swanwick. This easily creased garment is not suitable for my holiday at a Writers' Conference where we are busy from 8.30 am to midnight. I shall have homework to do in breaks - which is time for socialising.

Elastic Options
The bottom frill is joined on with horizontal elastic. So you can wear the elastic at waist level and hang the top over J shape, shorter but bulkier on the belly. (I prefer the more refined words stomach or the jolly word tummy but belly was irresistably alliterative.)

Alternatively, pull it down across the hips. 

Buying Bundles
I bought the yellow eyelet top on Ebay as part of a bundle of three tops. A bundle is a group of items from the same seller. Not the same as a matching set which has the same colours and fabrics.

What is this? My repair.  I have a lovely shiny, smart black slip, from Marks & Spencers. It has a slit with pretty lace edging.  But it is slightly tight. What to wear for a funeral? A black funeral coat from Marks & Spencers Outfit 291

The invitation said nothing about the dress code.  I know lots of funerals nowadays people were mixed colours. Some specify wearing jolly colours. My friend at the funeral told me, "Always wer black. Unles it specifies otherwise, the rule is, wear black." I had my usual blue anorak with the hood with me. I left it in the car. In the boot of the car, in case anybody broke into the car hoping to find money in the pockets or because they wanted a coat to wear or sell. The safest thing is to leave a completely empty car. At least everything in the boot so the car looks empty. I could have kept the blue anorak in my black tote bag. I always found they had small size clothes, and were pracical as well as pretty, and keenly priced. Mine is vintage. Probably from st Luke's in Hatch End in NW London. You can buy from their current range online. Of their current range, in January 2024, i like the reversible gilet in wine and pink. Brand clockhouse. Standup collar. Zip. They call the colour purple.
