That Big Bag
What a big bag. What do you call a bag that size? I big oblong bag with two long straps is called a tote bag. But this bag is big enough for carrying a beach towel. I call the bag a beach bag.

I had folded it up during the winter. Can you imagine my smile when I unfolded it and realised that my huge bag matched the summery hat.

Bag and Hat Combination Sources
The bag and matching hat are from the World Travel Market in London, probably in November 2019, in London's East End. Now the World Travel Market will be easier to get to because of faster connections and times on the new in 2022 Elizabeth line. 

What a great advertising idea. Here I am researching them and talking about them to the world on both my fashion posts and my travel posts, not once but twice, two years later. 

Colourful Colours
The colours are jolly. What a lovely combination. Warm sunny day orange, exquisite turquoise, sea blue. 

Soothing Pattern
What a nice, subtle but suggestive pattern. Wavy lines like waves. 

The blue is a rounded rock shape. Smooth to the touch. Firm to stand on. 

The two orange lines around a dot suggest a fish or friendly whale. Maybe a beach and a swimmer.

The hat band echoes the bag colours. The colours are separated not by straight lines but gentle curved lines, suggesting a relaxing holiday.

Stripey Red & White Socks, thigh high, and tights - outfit 679 by Angela Lansbury

  I bought a pair of knee high red and white stripe socks in St Luke's charity shop. At one pound or under, you can't lose much. (Their charity fundraising shops are in NW London in Hatch End, Harrow Weald and elsewhere.) Why did I buy the long socks, in hard to match, garish, childish, stripes - after hesitation and consideration? The Advantages Of Long Socks The  length was attractive, at this time of year. I often need long socks under a midi skirt. For warmth in winter. And not to show bit of bare legs above socks. To co-ordinate colours. Advantages and Disadvantages of Red and White Stripes I like red. It's fun. White can show dirt quickly.  Red and white is a bit restrictive. It will clash with patterns, only go with plain reds and whites. But under a table at dinner or on Zoom nobody else will notice. Nor will I. I will only feel them.
