What is Shein? How do you say it? Here's my affordable, blue, cut-sleeve jacket, outfit 478

A beautiful blue jacket from Shein. Who are they? Shein is, and was recently, according to sources quoted by Wikipedia, the largest online retailer, outdoing Amazon. Shein sells affordable clothes, very popular with teens. The company is based in China but sells to more than 200 countries.  (220!)

The name was originally Sheinside, but that was shortened to shein. (Not Shein, rhyming with German ein nor wein.)

Chinese希音
Literal meaning"sound of hope


I used translate Google and tried reversing to English- Chinese, and back to Chinese-English. I split the Chinese visual phrase into the two separate words or sounds.

I struggled with that. Never mind. It's okay, so long as I can get it sounding right in English, she-yin.

Style
I love cape blazers. This one does not have a cape effect covering the back of the upper arms. However, I still like it.
The advantage of the cut out sleeve is that the sleeve cannot be too tight on the upper arms. 

Colour
This lovely bright blue, royal blue, cut sleeve jacket, has a soothing colour.

Size
The weird thing is that I like this so much more than the creased green jacket of the same style. Is it the size?
 
The size is M for Medium, EU size 38, US size 6. (UK8). Extraordinary that I can wear a size 8.

 It says low iron if necessary. Luckily it is not too creased. And darker colours show creases less.

I can't get over it. It looks much better than the same jacket in green. This one in blue is only size M. Am I now a medium in everything from Shein? Or is it pot luck with every style?

You must hang up these jackets. Let them fall on the floor, and they crumple. You look really cheap. Hang up each garment to get more of a swish, swinging look.

What is this? My repair.  I have a lovely shiny, smart black slip, from Marks & Spencers. It has a slit with pretty lace edging.  But it is slightly tight. What to wear for a funeral? A black funeral coat from Marks & Spencers Outfit 291

The invitation said nothing about the dress code.  I know lots of funerals nowadays people were mixed colours. Some specify wearing jolly colours. My friend at the funeral told me, "Always wer black. Unles it specifies otherwise, the rule is, wear black." I had my usual blue anorak with the hood with me. I left it in the car. In the boot of the car, in case anybody broke into the car hoping to find money in the pockets or because they wanted a coat to wear or sell. The safest thing is to leave a completely empty car. At least everything in the boot so the car looks empty. I could have kept the blue anorak in my black tote bag. I always found they had small size clothes, and were pracical as well as pretty, and keenly priced. Mine is vintage. Probably from st Luke's in Hatch End in NW London. You can buy from their current range online. Of their current range, in January 2024, i like the reversible gilet in wine and pink. Brand clockhouse. Standup collar. Zip. They call the colour purple.
