My policy, as I promoted it on a speech to Agora, to shop in my own home, browse in the wardrobe and the spare room. Rescue my own clothes. 

Move clothes around to alarm the clothes moths. Discourage them from feeding baby moths on my precious clothes.
 
Jacques Vert translates as Jack Green. The French name sounds much more glamorous to English speakers. The name is not from one man called Jack Green, but from two tailors, one whose first name was Jack, and the other whose surname was Green. (See Wikipedia for the full story, simplified and verified.)

The item I am wearing is vintage. Made in England. 100% polyester. Wash on 30 degrees centigrade. Size 10. Short spin. Do not wring.

The Style
The style is interesting. The double bodice resembles the front of a cape blazer, but without the cape effect at the back and without the slit sleeves. 
The back and sleeves are in a contrast appearance, patterned.
Two front pieces in the same pattern, sewn in on two edges, with a gap, like a lightweight jacket. Underneath a regular white front of two pieces in an almost see through white light fabric. 
The sleeves are pleated into the shoulder.
The front edges of the jacket part are cut into triangular shapes which look as though they tie together. They don't quite make it but could be pinned with a brooch.

Buttons
Two fabric covered buttons on each cuff. Not horizontal to change the size of the cuff, but vertical.
The top button is fabric, helped by a tiny press stud.  Underneath the placket are six more buttons. Pearly buttons with slightly raised edge and four holes.

Jacques Vert, new. From stores, including one in Uxbridge and one in Chesham and others.
Jacques Vert, vintage. Try ebay. It has many tops and outfits. Simple tops from two pounds. Dresses and jackets..

Stripey Red & White Socks, thigh high, and tights - outfit 679 by Angela Lansbury

  I bought a pair of knee high red and white stripe socks in St Luke's charity shop. At one pound or under, you can't lose much. (Their charity fundraising shops are in NW London in Hatch End, Harrow Weald and elsewhere.) Why did I buy the long socks, in hard to match, garish, childish, stripes - after hesitation and consideration? The Advantages Of Long Socks The  length was attractive, at this time of year. I often need long socks under a midi skirt. For warmth in winter. And not to show bit of bare legs above socks. To co-ordinate colours. It will clash with patterns, only go with plain reds and whites. But under a table at dinner or on Zoom nobody else will notice. Nor will I. I will only feel them.
