Pink is the modern colour for girls. Pink for girls and blue for boys. I read that the Victorians originally used the reverse colours.
Previously, pink was considered unsuitable for men. Then it became trendy.
Queen Victoria made white wedding dresses popular. But the Chinese think red is lucky.
The Indians wear white for purity when burying the dead. They, too, would opt for a bright colour instead.
Is pink the colour for romance, hearts for single hopeful women, dates for the single and date nights for the married.
The Black Dress For Evenings and Businesslike Black In Daytime
At one time the little black dress was de rigeur for evening wear. It was considered elegant, uncluttered, simple, sophisticated.
What about daytime? Work?
Would black and white look businesslike? Would black and white be more suitable for lawyers in court, and musicians in an orchestra?
Is black suitable for Western funerals? Or should you specify colours to relieve the gloom of mourners and celebrate the deceased persons' happy or humorous life.
Yellow is the colour of safety wear. Yellow can be seen at a distance.
Red, with green and white, is the colour of Santa Claus and Christmas. It brightens up a snowy white landscape.
Ski wear if brightly coloured, for safety. A brightly coloured skier is easier to see and avoid on the ski slopes as you hurtle downwards. By wearing bright colours, you can more easily be found in a snow storm, accident, or avalanche.
Blue is a Jewish colour.
Green is a Muslim colour.
The army wears camouflage colours.
Where can you buy pockets? Notions counters and shops. Storage shops. Household goods shops. IKEA - Disney Princess line in pink. Hanging storage items with pockets are sold for storing shoes, whatever you fancy.
