The Skirt Suit

The Skirt

The skirt has two thin white hanging ribbons, looped ribbons for hanging on a hanger.

Supplier/Brand/Label

The skirt and  button-through blouse are from Patra, London, UK. The company started off with silk clothes but now do blends, bamboo, cotton, and other fabrics.

Another Patra label is in the USA and that company makes evening clothes more expensive than most of Patra clothes, although the Patra clothes prices seem to me to be climbing. I look for sales and second hand clothes.

If you simple google Patra you are likely to get the company you don't want (in my case I don't want Patra usa because of both styles and postage costs). That might happen if you Google, or search on ebay. However, if you search regularly the system might remember you, or you can log in 'save this supplier' in Ebay.

The suit fabric pattern is Paisley, dark and light greens with beige.

The skirt is lined. The lining is dark green. The waist is elasticated with a thick band of hidden elastic.

The Blouse. \

The blouse has 8 buttons. The buttons are thin mother of pearl with two holes. No spare buttons.

The interesting thing about the buttons, is the spacing.  At first sight they are in set of two with a larger gap between them. I looked again. It appears that every third button is missing (same as no buttonhole in the gap. Exactly spaced. So a double gap after each pair as you look at the buttons downwards or up the front. I measured the distance. The two buttons from the top were four centimetres apart. Roughly but not exactly one and three quarter inches. The closeness of most of the button to the other one of the pair means that the placket hangs neatly flat.

Short sleeves.

The Light Knitted waterfall effect Cardigan

The cardigan is a pale salmon pink.

Size UK/IRL 14. Brand atmosphere with a fetching feather symbol in black on a matching salmon pink label.

The sleeves and hem are ribbed.

The label says keep aay from fire. The material is viscose and acrylic.

The Pink Shoes

The synthetic clog shoes are from the  Sport brand. They have a rotating strap, vital to allow quick on off, and close fit or loose fit. Washable. Let your toes stretch. I can wear two or three pairs and if they are worn outside they ccan be washed and dried for a couple of days while I wear the others indoors and keep the floors clean.

The Scarf

The scarf is varied shades of pink with a little green on a white background, Big pink flowers. The scarf creases easily. I shall wash it and hang it straight.

The Fig

My prop is the fig plant I just bought from Lidl supermarket. I thought it would grow edible figs. But the label has knife and for, crossed out meaning don't eat. I only read the label when I got home and wondered what the planting instructions were. Indoors or out.
