Packing For Summer Season Weather - secrets of success and failure lessons for the future post 500

I was packing for a trip from cold England in January, stayng in New Zealand for three weeks January to February.

Did I need 21 day and evening otufits? I tried on complete outfits to see that I had boleros or jackets to match. I also checked accessories, shoes or sandals to match all the evening outfits, and an evening bag to go with all the colours. I packed both red solid shoes and brown sandals for daytime. Silver sandals for the evenings. Plus belts for skirts or dresses which were too long and trousers wwhich were too big around the waist.

Matching Evening Bags

I picked an easy to pack roll-up U-shape sequin shoulder bag for evening in goldy pink.

For a better match, I had a compact to pack, flat, silver foil-effect, square tote bag.

I packed enough outfits for a  different one every day of the week, and every evening. Seven summer daytime outfits. Seven evening outfits.

Plus the warm weather, red, Indigo Moon skirt, and mustard indogo Moon jacket outfit for travelling out and back.

Holiday Shopping

In New Zealand I wanted to buy the big A-line long dresses with big flower patterns favoured by the well-endowed Maori women. They were more plus size than me, so I thought I would find some large dresses in the Op Shops (charity shops).

However, the New Zealand shops were not on colour coded sizes, unlike the St Luke's shop in London. Most of the items I looked at were tiny.

I had put on weight due to eating out once or twie a day and ate more because I felt I needed energy to walk around and make decisons and be alert in unfamiliar surroundings.
