I have several Anthony Sicari outfits. Just search on this blog. This one is what I chose to wear for the AGM and wine tasting and fish and chips or chicken and chips supper at the Welwyn Wine Society. Bearing in mind I could spill red wine, or get grease or cutty stains on my front, I chose a darker top insteady of my more summery white background Anthony Sicari outfit.

Here is the white one. Also size ten. You see what I mean about the white one being more vulnerable to red wine stains.

I had pinned the matching scarf onto the white outfit. Easy to find. Won't get lost. Nor forgotten. Easy to fold or hang neatly.

Just a quick reminder about this label. It was big in the USA in the late 1900s. You can find lots of them on ebay. The cost of sending them to the UK means they are expensive for us in England, cheaper for you when you are in the USA, if you live there or are visitng family or friends on holiday or business.

The Long Pleated Skirt
This one has a pleated skirt, like many of his outfits. A side opening with pockets. Well over the knee so I can often get away with long socks without showing a gap, especially if most of the evening I am sitting down.

People said I was colourful. That's what they always say when I wear Anthony Sicari outfits. Sicari is an Italian family name for sword, knife and associated metaphors, knife bearer, strong, protective, powerful or something similar.

The Cape Jacket
I am wearing a black cape blazer or jacket. Antoher variation is open front sleeve. I find these very elegant. They swirl and swing. Come down long and cover up. 
Mostly they are open at the front. I have added black ribbon ties to stop the jacket sliding off my shoulders.

Blue H & M Dress, dress of the day 393

But I had a white blouse, so I wore this. On the internet and on Facebook you can see lots of videos of how to tie a scarf, but mine is simply hanging, which partly obscures the cleavage.  Cleavage cover I had a choice. To insert a dickey or false front, also called a removable or detachable collar. I have one or two which are plain white.  The alternative which saves hunting for a matching dickey without distracting collar colours and embrodiery, is simply to add a fastening. I decided that a snap or press stud fastener in small size is qhich to fasten and unlikely to pull apart (as opposed to hook and eye. I like velcro but it can scratch your skin, so the press stud was the right andwer. You have to get the two sides exactly measured up from the point of the V neck otherwide you end up with...

Survival Clothes and Kits For Holidays, Home & Away post 510

I read in the news today that the French have issued instructions on preparing a survival kit for householders.  Convenient Carry Bag Your house should have a bag you can carry, or sling in a car. Your handbag or tote bag or holdall should have a few essentials. When hiking I wear clothes with pockets and have a rucksack with have pockets water, food and sting relief, and insect repallent, and maps and phone numbers. I also put the hospital nubers in my phone. Survival Kit Everybody should have a survival kit by their door, as well as a first aid box in the bathroom and a burns kit in the kitchen. Also clothes! Japanese The Japanese are reputed to keep survival kit by the door. Why? In case of earthquakes. Travellers should have a first aid kit. In their suitcase or bag. And in cars. Plus spare clothes.
