Searching For Pretty Patterns
I typed in the word dots and up came Polka dots. The websites which were at the top were Shein, Temu and Marks & Spencers. More from Primark and TK Max.

Colour Choice
 Shein had a huge range of colours. Brown dots might match your hair, skin, eyes, or other garments, or shoes. 
I liked red dots Lively. Jolly. Red goes with red lipstick, and red accessories.


The word spotted or spots came next. That brought up the websites of Dorothy Perkins. Coast. Next. Amazon.

Amazon has many different styles of polkadot tops. Shirt style, bare shoulders, ruched,

Choice of Umbrella Styles
Folding umbrellas are often flat when unfolded. This shows your face more. But exposes you more to rain. They may blow inside out easily when caught by a gust of wind. Coopers of Startford offer windroof umbrellas. Current offer in June 20255 is buy one and get oe free. Choose two colours.

You can also get domed umbrellas. 
I liked the umbrellas with the raised centre I saw them advertised as snake style.

    Sweater embroidered with mock pearls matches my hat pinned with mock pearl brooches.  I had never worn this pale grey sweater  I thought pale grey was a boring colour and always opted for something brighter such as royal blue or bight red. Stripey Red & White Socks, thigh high, and tights - outfit 679 by Angela Lansbury

  I bought a pair of knee high red and white stripe socks in St Luke's charity shop. At one pound or under, you can't lose much. (Their charity fundraising shops are in NW London in Hatch End, Harrow Weald and elsewhere.) Why did I buy the long socks, in hard to match, garish, childish, stripes - after hesitation and consideration? The Advantages Of Long Socks The  length was attractive, at this time of year. I often need long socks under a midi skirt. For warmth in winter. And not to show bit of bare legs above socks. To co-ordinate colours. Advantages and Disadvantages of Red and White Stripes I like red. It's fun. White can show dirt quickly.  Red and white is a bit restrictive. It will clash with patterns, only go with plain reds and whites. But under a table at dinner or on Zoom nobody else will notice. Nor will I. I will only feel them.
