Bravissimo - Navy with white Polkadots, from Bravissimo Super Curvy Dress of the Day 563

Bravissimo is Italian for excellent, well done, the superlative of bravo. I bought this garment because of the polka dots. Later I noticed the label. Bravissimo. They sell online: bras, bikinis and one piece swimsuits. They even do virtual fitting with a lady at the other end checking your size.
Bravissimo
Photo by Angela Lansbury.Large comfy clothes come from Bravissimo. I associate them with large bras. When I searched for large size bras, up popped links to Bravissimo.
Here's a dress, or long top.
Metal Zips - For and Against
The dress has a metal zip. Vertically down the front. At the front for easy of getting into the dress.
Metal might be sturdier.
However, metal is stiff and harder to fold over the front when raising the waist if you are short or want to adjust the neckline or length of the skirt hem.
Style - Lining
The skirt has a thin black lining. This extra layer of cheaper fabric is to help the better top fabric keep in shape. The lining covers the top part and skirt. The only part not lined is the sleeves.
Sleeves With False Tabs
The sleeves are three quarter length. With a wide turn back cuff, held in place by a tab. I tried unbuttoning the tab, but it's purely decorative. You cannot unfold and lengthen the sleeve, because the cuff is sewn down on the underarm seam.
The Zip / Zipper
Americans say zipper. I am British so I say zip.
The zip is metal. I find that a metal zip has thick teeth, chunky, heavy.
I like nylon zips. They are more delicate. More often matching colours.
However, nylon zips sometimes pull apart. So, a sturdy metal zip has some advantages.
The Neckline
The neckline is U shape. No collar. You could wear a white tee shirt underneath. White would match the polladots. I chose orange to lift my mood.
Xtra Features
Extra is the correct spelling.
Hanging Loops
This dress has two handy, long, thin loops from the shoulders, for hanging it up, ideally on a hanger, failing that, on a hook.
Pockets
I love this feature. Two pockets. One either side. Deep diagonal, curved pockets. To put your hands in.
Verdict. The dress is interesting. A standby. Not super smashing. Merely wearable.
My husband said, "It sags at the front. Pull it down at the back. That's better. Still not suitable for going out. Okay only around the house."
I put a black, long slip underneath, and long black socks. The Croc style shoes add a touch of colour. The circular holes in the 'plastic' clogs echo the polka dots.
Colourful Accessories Set
The outfit needs colour. For example, red lipstick, and a red belt. Wear a plain shape, red necklace and a red bracelet, ideally a matching set - and a round red ring. I should keep all these co-ordinating items together to speed up dressing and add to my self-confidence.
