Blue Indigo Moon Top
The blue top is one of several vintage outfits I bought on ebay, mostly odd jackets or tops. I spent a week bidding on several and waited to see which, if any, I won at reasonable prices. 3 XL so fewer bidding for it.
The embroidery colours are pale pink, pale blue, white and black. The thick matt almost felt like fabric is mostly cotton, with some polyester. The trim different.
Plus beads and sequins.
Iron on warm, it says. Then, don't iron. Reading carefully, I see it says don't iron on decoration. You would have to be very careful. Or place fabric over the decoration so your oscillating hand movements on the iron don't go fruther than intended.
This time I am wearing the long top with a black skirt and white blouse.
The White BHS Blouse
White. Vintage. Eighties style bow at the neck. Shiny and elegant, so it goes with the glitter of the teeny sequins and teeny tubular white beads of the blue top. The plainness of the black skirt and white blouse are enlivened by the colours of the Indigo Moon top.
Size 14. Polyester. Cream colour. To fit bust 36 in. I wore it loose over a n orange Sweary Betty top which had long sleeves and thumb holes.
The two shoulder pads contained sponge inserts. They have gone lumpy. I hope they will disintegrate further so I can squeeze the filling out without cutting any fabric.
The pades are semi-circular, attached by a few stitches in two places, so eadily detached. I could fill them. Or cut them out and use the fabric to make light pockets, or spiral into roses.
The PearlyButtons
Two buttons on each sleeve cuff, making four, plus five down the front, total nine. No spare button.
The Black Skirt\
Black. Long. Lined. Too tight for me. The lining has slpit. I have to leave the zip open at the top. I put it on over my head. It has two pockets each with a curved edge.
Bright orange stretch track suit bottoms
Velvet effect. Shiny. Cheeful bright orange. Nice and warm in cold weather. Covers my legs down to the tops of my synthetic
Croc shoes. Made in Vietnam.
Covers the gap between the skit and my shoes. No need for high socks or stockings or tights.
