Home Alone Without A Scone And Nothing To Wear post 632
Nothing to wear? In the kitchen, I wrote a poem about the problem.
It's horrible to be home alone
When it's time for tea
And you don't have a hot scone
When you're in in a jam, without any jam
I gave a scream, I've finished the cream!
I have to to go shopping
But first I am stopping
To decide what to wear
The cupboard is full but I am bare
Rows and rows of summer clothes that it's too cold to wear
I can't wear a cocktail dress to go shopping
Or a small swimsuit for buying some fruit
I must pack summer clothes into a suitcase
Ones with short sleeves I do not need
Put them in storage and clear this place
When you're alone, what to do about that?
I grabbed a pink jacket, black purse and white hat
I hurried down to the seven eleven
(In truth it was Tesco, which won't rhyme with heaven)
The man at the till gave a glum hello
And glum goodbye when I had to go
(Home - I'd phoned a friend)
He doesn't care what you wear
Hi job is checking what you spend
I'm back with a choice of crumpet or scone
You're never alone when the kitchen smells scone
I'm feeling good and don't care what I wear
Just my red apron with lots of white sheep
Great idea, early night, I'll go get some tight sleep.
