Two great features about Anthony Sicari outfits. The wide armholes and upper arms and stretch knits mean every outfit from this brand will fit me whatever my current size. I have bought two pieces top and skirt without the scarf and some tops with red or black which will easily be matched with other items. If I see a top alone and it is cheap I bid on it or buy it. However, I prefer the three piece outfits with top, skirt and matching scarf. Saves time. Looks co-ordinated and efficient. Makes me feel in control and confident.

Although I am not keen on the angular lines, which do not match my physique, and convey a strict businesslike subtle message, the curves help soften the pattern. The mixture of soothing blue and warm red hues plus the black gives three options of colours for co-ordinating accessories.

This blouse is my current favourite. The collar stays in place. Looks like I am well organized.

The skirt has two pockets.

I fastened the tie scarf with the small black brooch from a set.

I searched online today, November 12th 2025, and found three offers for the same or similar tops on ebay, in the USA. The postage to the UK is mostly twice the price of the goods, still great value, but even better if you live in the USA and pay less for postage and no import duty.

One seller described the top as a 'military style', and called it a sweater cardigan or knitted cardigan.
If you are not in the USA, other options on saving money are

1 Make this a Xmas wishlist item, so somebody else pays for it, or two people pay half, which covers the cost of the item, and the postage, and you get the item to wear at Xmas or New Year (postal delivery willing). 

2 Another option is to get the item sent to your hotel or family next time you visit the USA, even if that is not for 6 months or a year, if you trust them to keep the item safe and not lose it, or even take a fancy to it. If they ask to keep it, you might let them, and use that as a gift in exchange for them letting you stay with them or ferrying you around.

3 Ask a friend in the USA to bring you the item when they travel to the UK, or some other country where you are all meeting up for a wedding or family reunion. Yes, it does mean taking up space in their packing coming over. On the other hand, you might take the item as payment for letting them stay free with you in the UK or your country or your holiday let home.

4 Form a club of buyers of your favourite brand. When one of you travels, meet up. Sell, borrow, swap, your old items for something vintage which is new to you creating a new look for your family and friends to admire. You might do a permanent swap. Or just wear the new friend's item on holiday, or for photos. Or to see if a particular pattern or colour suits you.

House of Sunny sell knitwear with matching scarves, as well as featuring cats and dogs, pricey, but you can find them on other sites second hand.

Survival Clothes and Kits For Holidays, Home & Away post 510

I read in the news today that the French have issued instructions on preparing a survival kit for householders.  Convenient Carry Bag Your house should have a bag you can carry, or sling in a car. Your handbag or tote bag or holdall should have a few essentials. When hiking I wear clothes with pockets and have a rucksack with have pockets water, food and sting relief, and insect repallent, and maps and phone numbers. The Waistcoat With Palm Trees & Parrots From Shein (and straw hat) post 582 from Angela Lansbury

As you might expect  The St Luke's price was £3. I googled waistcoat, Shein, parrot, and the exact sme garment appeared immediately. The Shein model was wearing it over a white crop top with short denim shorts. The price was ten pounds plus three pounds postage. But as a new customer or returning customer (eg after a gap of several weeks not ordering) you might get offered free postage.  I like the fact that the patterns on the right and left mirror each other as if the parrots are about to speak to each other.
