The Indigo Moon Jacket

Indigo Moon clothes are made in India and feature brightly coloured embroidery and beads and sequins. Eye-catching and fun. 

I had been looking for something to co-ordinate with my dark brown, beaded, embroidered Indigo Moon jacket.

Sorting Summer Clothes

I was sorting through short sleeved, old fashioned, boring never worn outfits to store in suitcases or boxes to go into storage. As usual, every time I put three items in the storage section, a minute later I rescued one of them because it went with something else.

Beaded Bonmarché Top

The short-sleeved top was a good candidate for my out of season, sit in storage until next spring or summer selection.

Then I spotted the beads. Big bold cut glassy beads. Teeny ant trails, lines of small tubular beads following along tramlines of pinched material, called pintucks.

Just like Indigo Moon decoration.

The Label  Bonmarché

The label on the top was Bonmarché. French for good value. T.he accent tell you that you pronounce the e, like ay, voice going up high.

Bonmarché are still around. They have been sold and bought by different companies.

I rescued my Bon Marché item. I now have a set.

Brown Colour

When my hair was brown I wore a lot of brown and purple. Now that I am blonde I wear bright reds and oranges and am happier. However, I can wear brown to be inconspicuous when travelling.

I am not willing to part with all my grey and brown colour clothes. I looked and found I have the brown sandals to match. All I need now is a brown skirt.

Survival Clothes and Kits For Holidays, Home & Away post 510

I read in the news today that the French have issued instructions on preparing a survival kit for householders.  Convenient Carry Bag Your house should have a bag you can carry, or sling in a car. Your handbag or tote bag or holdall should have a few essentials. When hiking I wear clothes with pockets and have a rucksack with have pockets water, food and sting relief, and insect repallent, and maps and phone numbers. I also put the hospital nubers in my phone. Survival Kit Everybody should have a survival kit by their door, as well as a first aid box in the bathroom and a burns kit in the kitchen. Also clothes! Japanese The Japanese are reputed to keep survival kit by the door. Why? In case of earthquakes. Travellers should have a first aid kit. In their suitcase or bag. And in cars. Plus spare clothes. The Waistcoat With Palm Trees & Parrots From Shein (and straw hat) post 582 from Angela Lansbury

As you might expect  The St Luke's price was £3. I googled waistcoat, Shein, parrot, and the exact sme garment appeared immediately. The Shein model was wearing it over a white crop top with short denim shorts. The price was ten pounds plus three pounds postage. But as a new customer or returning customer (eg after a gap of several weeks not ordering) you might get offered free postage.  I like the fact that the patterns on the right and left mirror each other as if the parrots are about to speak to each other.
