Disguising holes in a jumper by sewing re-dress 657 by Angela Lansbury

Knitted top with holes.

The jumper label is Radley.

Disguising Holes

I was shocked to see it had three holes. Were they caused by moths? Did I need to fumigate by putting the garment in the freezer for three days before sewing? I wanted to wear the top. I decided to sew it straight away, before the holes pulled further.

Moth Cure And Prevention

I ordered moth traps. In previous years I bought white moth balls, then wooden discs, round and square with central holes so you could hang them on the necks of hangers. Then sachets of white moth killer.

I sewed them up with white cotton. You would hardly notice.

See Through Tops

However the two marks in the centre of the photo are the buttons on the blouse worn underneath.

To preserve the neat effect of the collar, instead of changing to another blouse, I could add a white tie.
