Indigo Moon - Extra small - how small is that? Outfit of the day 710 by Angela Lansbury.

 Small Size - Suppositions

I have a size small red velvet Indigo Moon Jacket which I wear nearly every day. I love it.

The sleeves are slightly tight, will not go over anything thick underneath, but okay with a blouse. What about the XS offered? Would it be wearable?

Size Success

Angela Lansbury wearing XS jacket, label Indigo Moon.

I ordered an Indigo Moon jacket in a pinky colour, size XS. I thought it might be too tight to wear. So I would have to slit the side seams, maybe insert a ribbon, or two widths of wide ribbon to hold it in place. That was not the problem.

Summer Weight

The jacket is summer weight, very light, unlined. I knew the garment was light before I opened the light package.

It came packed in a folded black bin liner, taped up with wide sticky back tape, with its own transparent plastic bag underneath. It survived the rain. Did not go through the letterbox but sat on the doorstep, found when I opened the front door.

The fabric is thin, flimsy and unsuitable for winter. Just doesn't look right.

However, it could be good in summer. It is long for a jacket. Not quite long enough to be called a coat as it does not cover a skirt, unless you wore a miniskirt, which you wouldn't.

The pattern is interesting, not overwhelming.

Not Edge To Edge

It is edge to edge in the sense that there are no buttons nor buttonholes. But the central edges do not meet. They are creating an a shape gap, meeting at the neck, but fanning out to a large gap at the hem. Nice to show a matching, or co-ordinating colour tank top, tee shirt or cotton vest, another Indigo Moon item underneath.

The item worn underneath could be an Indigo Moon top with a frugal embroidery just barely visible or completely hidden by a scarf at the neckline. I've tried matching other same label, Indigo Moon, items, but one has butterflies in red, the other flowers in orange and purple, one was embellished with small round sequins, the other with tubular beads, and they did not match.

I have a choice, pack it away in a suitcase in a spare room, or a commercial store room. Or hang it on the door, obvious, ready for its first wear.
