Designers of matching outfits for mother of the bride and special occasions.

I was looking for a birthday present. I had asked my son to buy me an an Indigo Moon jacket. But I really wanted a set of coat and top, a skirt suit.

When I want an outfit of three pieces, top, skirt and scarf, I look for Anthony Sicari.

For a lacey for fitting but stretchy dress, I look for Ann Balon. Ann Balon is still in business.

 The other two are vintage.

When I did the Indigo Moon online search using several words, such as the colours red and orange, or blue and green, I got fewer results.

Website Lists of Favourite Designers

The website added on the end of the page outfits in those colours, two piece skirt suits, by other manufacturers or designers with their labels. You can list on Ebay your favourite designers. But you get inundated with notifications.

Lists In Notebooks

Just as I had done when I first found the Anthony Sicari, then Ann Balon, then Indigo Moon, I started making a list in my diary. I made a list of the designers who made the styles I was looking for. Then I re-ordered it alphabetically.

Cost Of Designer Outfits

Some of the items were in three figures. If the seller was in the USA, and I am in the UK, you had to add VAT (value added tax) as well as a double figure postage. The postage to the UK is higher if the item is large and heavy or posted a further distance, from west coast USA rather than the east coast.

At first I ignored the high priced items. Then I thought, it's worth listing them. Sometimes the seller will reduce the price if the item does not sell for several months, or they are doing house clearance.

Maybe they want the money now. Or they see you have clicked on watching the item and want to persuade you to buy by offering a reduction in price.

I now have a list of designers to follow, search for, if I need a new outfit. The list is in my diary, in my birthday month, not in a notebook, nor on a scrap of paper where I will lose it. Furthermore, it is here on my dress blog for me and you to find. You may wish to select a couple of favourites, or to come back to this list later when you need an outfit for a wedding or special occasion and want an elegant, expensive look.

For Men

For men, you can also make yourself a list of designers. Suits and wedding outfits appear frequently.

Search Words For Men

Just use the words three piece suit and men and up will come lots of outfits, or add words such as waistcoat, cummerbund, wedding, usher, groom, handkerchief.
