Jump Suit From Shein. Dress of the day number 725 by Angela Lansbury.
What is a Jumpsuit?
Originally jumpsuits were outfits worn by parachutists to jump out of planes. The one-piece garments were also called parachute suits and flight suits.
Another wartime outfit, WW2 the siren suit, was for quickly donned garments to go on top of other garments to air raid shelters. Made popular as seen in photos by Winston Churchill. These one piece outfits were loose and had large, practical pockets.
Practical suits worn at work were boiler suits.
In fashion the terms used included unitards. Leotards. Body suit.
I have also seen them called playsuits, onesies. Onesies were a brand name of the Gerber company. Later the term was adopted by the public, without the final s, as a generic name.
Baby Versions
One piece garment for babies were legless and armless and had press studs (Americans say snaps) for quickly changing the baby's nappy (Americans say diaper for nappy).
For babies, and toddlers, there are other names, such as rompers (usually without legs. Sleep suits. Some come without covering the feet. Brand names, for example, Babygrow.
Wrap tops tend to gap at the cleavage, unless secured with press studs (called snaps in the USA). My solution is to wear a vest underneath. Ideally a co-ordinating colour. Here I have a choice of red, orange, blue, or fellow, or green to match in the pattern.

They get in the way of washing yourself or crockery.
You look and feel elegant until you sweep things off the table when you gesture, knocking over the Prosecco or Champagne.
Your clothes get wet when you wash your hands.
Identifying Sleeves
Several clothes manufacturers, bloggers, and Wikihow, give charts of different types of sleeves and their names. This helps after you have bought a garment and wish to describe it, or wish to buy another similar, or avoid a style.

My Shein Jumpsuit
You can see that I liked the outfit. I lifted my leg to be sure that the shape of the trouser leg could be seen.
I look like I am jumping for joy in my jumpsuit. I love the colours and the style. I was very relieved that the jump suit fitted because it was too much of a palaver to try it on in the shop. However, the surprised look on my face is because I nearly fell over!
It's too light and cold for this time of year. Maybe that's why it was donated to St Luke's, and ended up in the bargain box.
