Dress Of The Day with Angela

 When I bought and brought home my orange Lidl dress, it was creased. I wore it. I thought the colour was great and the creses did not matter. Who knew how washing might ruin it? I wore it with the creases. Iwas fine with it. The family didn't mind. However, the pictures lookd awful. Later thaat day I washed it. To my amazement, firstly, the colours did not run. Secondly - it was almost dry by evening! a great dress to take on holiday. Wash and wear in a hurry.  This is the after picture. This was the before picture of me wearing the dress.. Seller's ebay photo.  I ordered this from ebay. I usually go for the three-piece Anthony Sicari outfits.  Why go for three pieces matching? They make me look smart, elegant, co-ordinated, a top with wide shoulders, which was even more important when I was size 16, on a good day, in 2020, before I started slimming for health and safety during Covid,  I wroe it with  double closure sandals. Made in Hungary. Their colour is pale brown. How lon would it be on me? Not long enough for a dress. A flmsy skirt on a teenager could be that short. But not a warm, thick, autumn or winter gamrent.  My husband gradgingly allowed me to buy the orange dress at LIDL, the bright orange dress. Only 7.99 GBP.  But I have items arriving by post (mail to Americans) which he sees. He also sees my PayPal notifications. Paypal tells me how much I spend every month..  He said, "If you spend twenty pounds a week on clothes, that's 1040 pounds a year. (For Clothes, underwear, shows, hats,  etc.  Ten pounds a day on clothes would be  300 a month (thirty day months), A whopping 3650 pounds a year. Change the pounds to dollars or any other currency and multipolying by 50 weeeks a year or 165 days times ten units of currency, you can reach a similar proportion of money sums. Some people look at it by starting with what you earn in a month. If you are earning nothing, retired, just enough to cover your bills and holidays, you might be in too recycling your clothes, or selling some items in order to fund buying others. Plain simple dresses. Clear colours. Bright colours. Years ago, my mother would not have allowed me to buy a dress which was gathered, or anything with rick-rack braid. She would have said, no dtyling, no cut. Tht is what you put on bsbies. For adults women you need cut to make a fitted dress which enhances the curved or th breadst, wais,t hips and bottom. The Orange Dress Oh, well. I saw the orange dress in Lidl. I loved the colour. I had to have it. The size is ten. Slightly small for me. If you wear a long0sleeves thermal vest under it, the arms feel too tight. Esmara The label is Esmara. This is the Lidl brand. Red Anthony Sicari Outfit I love Anthony Sicari outfits because the wide sleeves always fit me whatever my weight and girth. I also love the colour red So, when I saw a red Anthony Sicari outfit on Ebay, I had to have it. I buy a lot of outfits. Most are in the USA. I ponder a long time because of the high cost of postage. Sometimes the price comes down. I buy.  Despite the additional cost of postage from the USA to the UK. The Short Sicari Skirt  Size 4 USA is very small. I tried wearing it as you see here, with the skirt lowered.  I let down the hem twice and made the skirt longer. The Black Bucket Hat The black hat is a rainbow colour hat turned inside out.   My friend is wearing this lovely red dress from Peacocks. Her bag picks up the warm red-orange colour. At swanwick I played the part of an old lady objecting to being bossed about in an old people's home. What could I wear? I went to the conference centre bedroom block and looked at the clothes in my bedroom. I chose a cotton night dress. Blue with a white lace neckline. Please share links to your favouritecposts.
